in Ottershausen with 2,200 tons storage capacity

Acquisition of the first bagging machine

with the 11th unit ever built worldwide

Generational change & construction of yard paving, weighbridge

Josef and Therese Schmid hand over to their son Martin Schmid

Expansion through new packing and loading halls

allowing potatoes to be washed, packed in bags, or delivered to customers via bulk loading.

1997

Relocation & new company formation

to Unterschleißheim with a 15,000 m² warehouse, renaming of the former potato wholesaler Josef Schmid e.K. to Kartoffel-Center München Nord GmbH

New Partnerships

Cooperation agreement with Hans Willi Böhmer Verpackung und Vertrieb GmbH & Co KG

Acquisition of new large machines & second goods reception

Commissioning of two fully automated sorting systems
